Duplicate Projects

Are you a serial pattern repeater? This tutorial shows you how to duplicate projects in Stash Hub to make it even easier to plan projects using your Tried-And-True patterns.

Open Projects from the Stash Hub main menu and select the project you want to duplicate. Tap on the project card to open it.

Tap the 3 dots menu in the top right of the project record and select ‘Duplicate’ from the list of options.

The Duplicated project will open. It will have the same name as the original project with ‘(copy)’ on the end. You can tap into any field to edit it as usual. The Fabrics will not be duplicated, so you can tap on ‘Add Fabric’ to choose a different fabric for the next version of your pattern.

Fields that are duplicated

  • Project Name – appended with ‘(copy)’
  • Pattern (including Size)
  • Person – which links to measurements
  • Notions
  • Challenges
  • Inspiration
  • Shopping List
  • Notes – handy if you’ve used it to write reminders about machine settings or added links to tutorials
  • Priority
  • Season
  • To-do list including custom to-dos – duplicated but all are unchecked
  • Tags
  • Caption

Fields that are not duplicated

  • Status – Set to ‘Planning’ as default
  • Fabrics
  • Dates – Started, Deadline and completion date are all blank
  • Photos – Mockups, Work in Progress and Photos are not copied to the duplicated project
