Destashing with eBay
Stash Hub can help you destash unwanted fabrics by making the process of listing fabrics on eBay super easy. There is also a new Marketplace tab which lists other Stash Hub user’s listings.
Linking your eBay account
To begin, you need to connect your eBay account to Stash Hub (if you haven’t got an eBay account yet, you can create one here).
To do this go to Settings > eBay. Ebay has different marketplaces for different regions, so enter your country of residence and postal/zip code then click “Connect“. You will then be prompted to sign into your eBay account and approve permissions. Once that’s done you’ll be redirected back to Stash Hub where the connection will happen (this will take 5 – 10 seconds).

Note: only a few countries are supported at the moment but we will be looking to add more in the future.
Listing a fabric
To list a fabric, click into the fabric you want to put on eBay then click on the 3 dots in the top right. From the menu select Sell.

From here you can configure you listing:
- Price: How much do you want for the fabric?
- Delivery: Do you want to charge for delivery? If so, how much?
- Condition
- New: Full lengths of fabric with no defects
- Used: Minor defects or has been cut into. Make sure to provide a detailed description of any defects or areas that have been cut into.
When you’re happy, click on “Create eBay Listing“. The fabric will then be listed on eBay which can take about 10-20 seconds.
Stash Hub uses the information in the record to populate the eBay title, description and item aspects. The images in the record will also be used as the images for the listing.
When you list a fabric record on eBay the status will change to “For Sale” and a tag of “ebay” will be added automatically. When it sells, the status will be changed to “Destashed”. “For Sale” and “Destashed” fabric records can be found under the “Destashed” quick filter.
Manage listings

There are a number of ways to see what is up for sale in your stash.
- From the eBay settings page in the Stash Hub app (Settings -> eBay)
- Within a record an eBay card will be displayed at the top
- Using status “For Sale” or tag “ebay” filters
If you deleted a listing or it has been sold but the changes aren’t showing in Stash Hub, click the Sync button.
If you want to change the title, description, price or delivery cost you can do so within Stash Hub by clicking “Update” and changing the desired information. Note: You can also edit the listing in eBay (but only the web version of eBay via a browser).
If you wish to delete a listing you can either do it from within the Stash Hub app by clicking on “Remove” in eBay card or just delete it directly within eBay.
Browsing the Marketplace
By default, listings are shown with the most recently added at the top. Use Sort to change the order in which listings are shown. Listings can be sorted by date added or price, in either direction.

Search and Filter functions can be used to refine Marketplace results if you are looking for something specific. To search, tap on the magnifying glass icon at the top right and type in your search terms. This will return results that feature the search terms in the listing name. Search will be useful for checking whether any of your favourite fabric brands are being sold via the Stash Hub Marketplace.

For Filters, tap the filter icon (next to the Search magnifying glass). Here, you can filter for specified fabric lengths, widths, fabric type, category (e.g. knit or woven) and colours. Filters use information from the item description, not just the name, so may return more results than a search.

Buying a fabric
All fabrics that other Stash Hub users have listed on eBay show in the “Marketplace” tab (found in the main navigation menu). Clicking on a listing will open it in the eBay app (if installed) or the relevant eBay webpage.

If you’ve purchased an item from eBay you can add it using Magic Input. If you’re in a browser, you can get the listing’s URL by copying it from the URL bar or if you’re in the eBay app click the share icon and choose “Copy link”.
